Close focus distance

Focusing at a distance is no problem for any pair of binoculars; focusing at close range, however, is a totally different matter. In the specification of all binoculars you will find detail on its close focus distance, expressed in feet/yards or meters. If you’re into birding, the close focus distance of your instrument should be at the most 4 yards and if you’re into real small things like butterflies, you should look for a binocular with super close focus ability of as close as possible to 1 yard. The Pentax Papilio is in a class of its own, with close focus distance of 18 inches (46 cm.)! Follow the link for a complete review of this amazing binocular.
